Emergency HVAC in Hermann, MO

Emergency HVAC in Hermann starts with one decision: is this a danger to people, or a broken system? Danger means get out or get cool, and call 911. A broken system means run the safe steps here and call us. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, but call whenever it happens.

Emergency HVAC services

Which emergency HVAC calls in Hermann go to 911 first?

Four situations go to 911 before they come to us.

  • Gas smell or hissing. Leave, then call from outside. NFPA says not to light the appliance.
  • CO alarm or sudden headaches and nausea. Get outside, then call 911 (CPSC).
  • Smoke or flame at the equipment. Leave and call.
  • Confusion, fainting or hot, red skin in the heat. Those are heat stroke signs (Ready.gov).

CPSC advises CO alarms on every level of a home and outside sleeping areas.

Our office is open Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM. Call and we will sort out the next step.

Who do you call for a gas leak in Hermann?

From outside, call 911 and your gas utility. Hermann city customers are on the Hermann Gas System, which the City runs, not Spire or Ameren. Elsewhere, read your bill. Propane homes call their supplier, and nobody turns a tank back on without a leak check.

Rural homes past the gas mains often run on propane, so the supplier is your gas contact.

What if the heat or cooling simply quits?

Sort it by the weather. Texas A&M AgriLife puts pipes at risk at 20°F or below, so a no-heat emergency in a freeze means protecting plumbing first. In a heat wave, a fan alone will not protect anyone (Ready.gov), so emergency AC repair starts with getting people cool.

Is after hours HVAC service available?

We cannot promise it, so ask. Jo M. reported Brian coming out in the evening, during one of the coldest days in decades, to fix a furnace. Misty R. reported a new water heater installed the next morning. Those are customer reports, not a commitment for your night.

What should you have ready when you call?

Have your address, the symptom, your fuel type and a data plate photo. Call (209) 563-1270, and ask about after-hours pricing on that call.

Calling is fastest

Prefer to write it down?

Calling gets you an answer sooner, especially if the house is cold or hot right now. If it can wait, send the details and our office will get back to you during business hours.

Smell gas? Do not use this form. Leave the building and call from outside.

“During one of the coldest days in decades, and with fresh snow falling, Brian came out to our house this evening to repair our faulty furnace so we would have heat. Good to know

Common questions

Are you a 24 hour HVAC company?

We cannot promise 24 hour service. The office is staffed Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, and closed Saturday and Sunday. Call whenever the problem happens and ask what is possible. If you cannot reach anyone and the house is unsafe, go somewhere warm or cool first.

Do you charge more for after hours HVAC work?

Ask when you call. We do not publish an after-hours rate, so settle that on the phone before anyone drives out. Tell us the symptom and your address, because the distance from Hermann affects the visit. We quote the work before we start.

Can I wait until morning to report a faint gas smell?

No. Faint still counts, because the nose tires quickly and stops noticing gas. Get outside, then phone 911 and your gas utility. In Hermann city limits that utility is the City. On propane, call your supplier. Have them clear the house before you call us about the furnace.
